Had a late lunch hear today service was friendly and food was great . One of the only places I have got a free cup of soup and it was very good . It’s a nice cosy atmosphere hear because it’s a little dark like a Irish bar .

A nice restaurant with a good home cooking and a relatively large selection of food. The decor is unfortunately a bit darker like in this kind of restaurants. It has a rustic wooden equipment, but that should not be a disadvantage. We were there for dinner in the evening. There was an extra fish menu and an additional vegetarian menu with lots of food and a root menu. I was so enthusiastic about the selection of the vegetarian menu that I quickly decided to buy a vegetable plate with fried eggs and fried potatoes (8, - Euro). My friend took turkey with spaetzle and a side salad (9.- Euro) and a colleague fried fish with a salad. Unfortunately, I did not notice the price but the fish card starts at 8 .- Euro and quite unusual, there are also in this price range steamed fish, which often, for whatever reason, is not even available in many fish restaurants , All portions were not huge but still well sized. I have already been able to experience similar dishes from far more expensive and carelessly served in smaller portions elsewhere. The vegetable dish was very tasty. Particularly noteworthy here is the interesting taste of Wirsing and the red cabbage, but also the rest convinced here. My girlfriend and colleague have been equally happy with their choice. Only the salad appeared, as with many Italians often, slightly acidified. That may be a matter of taste. There would be an alternative dressing, as the host told us in hindsight. Somewhat unusual for such a restaurant were the two already mentioned extra cards (fish and vegetarian), which surprised me very positively. It can be assumed that, depending on the occasion, the menus will change or even something will be added, so that it is not, as usually usual elsewhere, only the same thing over and over again to choose from. As described in some recessions, the innkeeper served in the restaurant while cooking in the kitchen. Hard to believe but was the extent of the menu and the size of the restaurant, which the host but confirmed. However, the waiting time was limited, although what the landlord complained in connection that just a large table next door had recently ordered a bit of food. Whereby maybe some of you might already have your nose hacking at the term "good bourgeois" and think the German cuisine is a bit silly, that is why it is very remarkable to be pleasantly surprised. In addition, especially in Frankfurt, the restaurant in the price-performance ratio is difficult to beat. If there were more such restaurants, it would be worthwhile to eat more often. Absolutely recommendable. We will hopefully be back soon.

Very cute, cozy, truly German place. It looks like it was founded in 70s. They have plenty of vegetarian, fish, meat options, homemade sahne-quark and much more. If you wanna feel the vibe of traditional Germany, it is definitely here! Not made up, absolutely real! ? P.S. i think, the food is served and made by owners. Isn't nice?

Nice, home-style restaurant. The host is an original. There are even savoy cabbages. Even if it takes a moment, you can be sure that it is fresh. There was nothing wrong with the liver with fried potatoes

Amazing food, very local place. The only restaurant in Frankfurt where my fussy friend didn't complain about the food and ate everything on the plate. Warmly recommended! The owner himself cooks and serves.

The food is rich and good. The service takes only a little too long.

Good middle-class. A very hard-working entrepreneur with a lot of talent in gastronomy. Especially you should not miss the homemade cheesecake. I would even like to know what the others post.

Original Frankfurt stubb .... Urgemühtliche device and delicious card as you would like cooked by Muddern. Very good prices. Seating is also possible for larger groups. Here we go gladly again.

So I'm almost daily to guest here and extremely satisfied. Very good homey and quaint atmosphere! As one says so beautifully: "feed like nuts". No offended fanfare but just delicious. The host is always courteous and goes to the food selection also individually on the requests, a nice conversation is always included. The beer you notice even after 3 halves nothing in the skull (compared to many other places !!!) - this restaurant Definitely worth a visit and represents Bornheim excellently. The fat Fritz "has become my second home. -Now that there is such a thing!

Very nice food

Super old-established cider business. Here you can get home-made food at a fair price and really tasty. Of course you also get the bottle.

The only restaurant I know of this type, completely specialized in seniors and really old ones, who still like savoy and similar allotment products. Eating there is like having a meal with a grandma or a grandma. The menu - see photos - says it all. But you can also drink a good beer and eat schnitzel there.

Awesome food and service, loved the apple juice!

I went to this pub for lunch today and have to say it was a pleasure. The incredibly courteous waiter put us a soup on the table right after arrival and even took the drinks order in passing. The food was good as expected. Only the salad could still be revised. All around, the "Dicke Fritz" offers a homely atmosphere with reasonable food at a reasonable price. And the waiter alone was worth the visit (at least for people with humor).
